Yudi and the ants

It was very bold on his part to follow the PVC clad apparition up ahead. His sensor clearly showed the heightened pulse rates leaping up and nearly blowing his radar through. It was her. It was.
He had found the missing link again. Whether she remembered the past lives or not didn’t matter to him. There was very serious crisis of epic proportions taking place on earth. This was 2012 and the end was near for humans as they had envisioned it. Only one chance remained.
If the three came together then and tracked down the missing coffee bean with elixir proportions. Considering that every coffee plantation in the world had self combusted overnight somewhere in 2005 this was no mean feat.
The Argentine ants had invaded the beans. Bunched together they were.No infighting for survival. They had overnight built large colonies of sand-paper covering the fields up in huge while domes, sucking up all available moisture, until the plants exploded. In one go.
So the huge coffee shortage of 2010 was born. Resulting in serious lack of adrenaline in the rib cages of the earth. No coffee meant no highly frayed tempers, no brows which frayed, no sweat, no deeds done, no two people who jumped at each other and a serious lack of spontaneity. A life just not worth living.

And the profiteers? Those with high levels of adrenaline. With enough to spare. Who harvested it to those with lack of. Post this coffee bean crisis. As all of this flashed before his eyes. Yudi instinctively accelerated his pace, dived into a low hung tackle and brought her down.

Together they went crashing into the trees. As she swore and straightened herself out. Yudi put up his hands pleadingly “Yes it’s me.”
“Yudi?” She spluttered, “How did you…”
“Find me?” he completed her sentence “Not difficult, given your penchant for PVC.”

And then out of the blue the giant Argentine ants attacked they came right at them. Together they whipped out their lasers and swung, pummeling them to the ground, till with a release of white smoke they gave up the ghost. The remaining scattered.

Yudi pulled Tina up “My fault” he said” I thought about them and there they were. I don’t know when my powers of manifestation surface. Lets get out of there, there will be more.”
